Dear Troop 1 Scouts and Families,
Above you will find an order form and flyer for our annual flower and plant sale. As you know, fundraising has not been something in which we have had a great deal of involvement from the families this year. This is our last chance to raise money this year. There will be no more fundraisers for this year.
That being said, at the committee meeting that was held on the 31st of March, we have decided that ALL scouts/families must sell at least $150, during the pre-sale, as well as working at the booth over the weekend. We will be having a sign-up for that at our next Scout meeting, which is on the 12th of April.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!! The dates of the flower sale are May 8th and May 9th. We will need boys to help set up on the 8th and 9th as well as selling the flowers for that whole weekend. I will have more exact times after I have spoken with the Greenhouse about delivery times.
This is of the utmost importance. We have had less than 50% participation in our fundraisers for the past several years. We do keep track of who participates and by how much. There have been a few families carrying the weight of the fundraising needs for the Troop and it just isn’t fair. ALL the boys participate and ALL the boys need to help with the selling as well as with the manpower. WE NEED EVERYONE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS. The pre-sale items cover the cost (ideally) of the items that we sell at the booth. Saturday and Sunday should be pure profit.
